A Glimpse into My Creative World

I (Laura Kay Keeling, she/her/they) am a process-based visual artist located in Hamilton, Ontario. I create colourful and imaginative lens-based work that mixes analog and digital processes. The outcome of which is static imagery, video work, installation pieces, and public artwork.

Inspired by the Overlooked Moments

I explore the mundane, everyday moments that may often go unnoticed. By creating new environments for people to get lost in, I seek to deepen our connection to place and memory. As a neurodiverse artist, I've carried a camera since I was a child – it helps me capture and remember the beautiful moments I witness.

Nature's Wonders and My Archive

My work frequently features natural elements like petals from flowers I’ve grown or clippings I’ve foraged. Each element is scanned, pressed, and archived, becoming part of my evolving collection. Recently, I've started incorporating 3D scans and prints to further expand my practice.
