I've been working with the lovely folks at Smokestack for a few years (they are amazing!!) so it totally made sense and was very exciting to confirm my first solo exhibition with them in their Hamilton gallery space. This exhibition showed a mix of new work (the Portals series) alongside some previously created collage work and my personal favourite, When It Gets Dark, I Have Shallow Breath. The new works combined analog and digital photographs taken in and around my new home in Hamilton, merged with scanned and photographed florals and natural imagery.
