The Advantages of Tender Loving Care, Pt. 2: Variations
Gallery44 Vitrines, 2023

Exhibiting in the Gallery44 vitrines was a career highlight for me. I have always wanted to show work with Gallery44 and create work for that space. I re-visited a virtual exhibition called The Advantages of Tender Loving Care (which you can still visit online here). I created this exhibition during one of the COVID-19 lockdowns and was trying to capture the feeling of walking outside in the sunshine with friends, while at the same time, being able to view newly created collage work and moving images. The extension of this, included new works printed on different fabrics and installed in the Gallery44 vitrines, alongside a video work, and natural elements set on top of mirrors and between plexiglass.

Listen to a podcast conversation between myself and Exhibitions and Publications Coordinator, Caeden Wigston on G44 Digital and view photos of the exhibition below.
