Four exhibitions and installations by Nika Belianina, Laura Butler, Heather Haynes + Virginia Macdonald, Laura Kay Keeling and Jessica Thalmann use photographs as the starting point for experimentation and reinterpretation.

I am thrilled to participate in It Starts with a Photograph at the Gladstone House in Toronto. My work is set side-by-side with Nika Belianina's work, and I feel that the curation is so lovely, and Lee Petrie did a fabulous job selecting which pieces would go together.
