The City of Barrie selected artists to create public artwork for their Art on Transit program inspired by an original poem by Barrie’s Poet Laureate, Tyneisha Thomas. Learn more & view the map of image locations and artist details here. 

I loved creating this piece, inspired by Tyneisha Thomas' words + my own experiences for the City of Barrie. I included some photographs of different locations in Barrie and some local flora and fauna. I used to have a pretty long commute to work via public transit, and I kept this in mind when creating this piece. I wanted to give folks something interesting an engaging to look at and connect with as they were going about their day and waiting for the bus.
